Ticketsolve Update 05Nov09

The next three months will be very exciting - with lots of improvements and new features planned. To allow us to maximize our ability to deliver new features over the coming months we have made some key decisions.

Firstly, we have increased our overall capacity by hiring two new experienced developers - Brian and David. We are delighted to have both Brian and David onboard and really excited by the depth of talent and experience they are going to add to the team. In addition, we have created a pocket of quite time to allow us to focus on developing the Ticketsolve platform over the coming months.

The work we are focusing falls into three distinct categories - infrastructure improvements, new features and support improvements.

Infrastructure Improvements.

We are constantly bringing on new customers and genres and each of these bring new knowledge and learning. Over the coming months we are going to make infrastructure changes to address some of the bigger learnings. Quite often these will not result in any visible changes to customers but will make it easier and more flexible to add some of the features we are planning for the future. The highlights here are:

- Improvement Order / Line Item / Payment model
There are a number of key changes to these core concepts which we will be addressing over the coming few months. These will largely be transparent to the user. It will allow us to introduce a number of exciting new features such as more flexible bundling and booking charge models.

- Performance
We have always prided ourselves on our performance and it is a continuous area of focus. We will be targeting some hot spots over the coming few months. If there are particular areas of concern please let us know.

- Usability
Similar to the introduction of the new navigation style under the ‘Manage’ tab we will be looking at overall usability. One area of focus will be looking at how we handle accounting queries.

Feature Development

The new features on the immediate horizon are:

- Membership and Packaging / Seasonality
Our initial focus here is on building ‘season’ functionality for sports organizations. The same functionality will also work for other genres. This will allow the creation of bundle packages of events e.g. full season, half season, genre packages etc.

- Mailchimp Integration
This is already in beta use by some of our customers. Over the coming month we are going to improve the integration to make it more seamless. We expect to start making it more generally available over the coming weeks.

- Customer / Organisation Model
This change will allow us to gracefully handle customers who are organisations rather than individuals.

Support Improvements

Additionally, the support team will be working on the Support Information for our customers so that it is better organized, provides better answers and is easier to navigate. Furthermore, we will look at address areas of support that are bottlenecks for our customers in the hope of making your day to day life easier.
