Komedia Brighton
“It’s exactly what we, as a growing group of live entertainment venues, need from a ticketing system. It has the potential to revolutionise the market.”
Tim Hawkins, General Manager, Komedia
Background: In little over 12 years Komedia has grown from an 80 seat venue, hosting novice performers such as Graham Norton and the League of Gentlemen, to become a producer of distinctive live and broadcast entertainment and the operator of one of the UK’s leading live entertainment. Komedia are launching a new venue in Bath in October this year.
Issue: In order to streamline the two venue’s websites and ticket booking processes, Komedia required a new ticketing system. Over recent months, events, venues and festivals have been the subject of increasingly negative ticket talk, with major ticketing systems crashing due to high demand or technical faults. The perceived dominance of a select few ticketing agencies fuelled discontent over a number of matters, affecting both consumer and venue alike.
Solution and Results: TicketSolve system allowed Komedia to confidentially expand its operations with its new Bath venue while offering them the opportunity to maximise ticket sales through a range of up selling and cross selling opportunities while developing a consistent brand image.
